The text for the course is "Multidimensional Digital Signal Processing" ; Dan E Dudgeon and R M Mersereau;  Prentice Hall Signal Processing Series.
Another book that I would strongly endorse is "Multidimensional Signal, Image and Video Processing and Coding"; John W Woods, Academic Press.
The prerequisites for this course include One dimensional Signal Processing Concepts (Ref: Oppenheim and Schafer) and a basic understanding of Random Variables and Random Processes ( Ref: A Papoulis).
I am not a blogger by any any means. My previous two attempts lasted  two lines. This blog has been created to address the necessity of interacting with the students I teach.
They are welcome to put forth suggestions about the lectures, post comments for discussions etc.
This year I am offering the Multidimensional Signal Processing elective for the first semester students of M.Tech in Signal Processing at Model Engineering College. Thrikkakara.
